Bonanza Ag. Society to Sponsor one participant to go to camp!!

January 27, 2026
Dear Sponsors and Partners,
Camps are back!
On behalf of the Goldeye Foundation Society, we are excited to share that the Goldeye Co-operative Youth Leadership Camps will return in summer 2026.
For over 60 years, the Goldeye Co-operative Leadership Camps have served thousands of youth, thanks to the ongoing support of co-operatives, credit unions, and business partners like you. Your sponsorship is an investment in youth—and in the future of co-operatives, agriculture, and rural communities.
Your support ensures campers experience a week that builds confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging. Participants gain valuable life and career skills, develop self-confidence, learn about co-operatives and their values, and increase their awareness of agriculture—all through hands-on learning and outdoor activities in a fun and engaging environment.
Camp Goals
  • Provide youth with a fun, interactive, and supportive summer camp experience
  • Build leadership skills, self-confidence, and self-awareness
  • Help youth understand co-operatives, including their values, principles, and community impact
  • Increase youth awareness of agriculture, including where food and products come from, the role of farmers, and the importance of agriculture in everyday life
2026 Camp Dates
Two camps will be offered at Goldeye:
  • Teen Camp: July 6–10, 2026 | Ages 13–14
  • Youth Camp: July 13–17, 2026 | Ages 15–16
Significant work and maintenance have taken place at Goldeye to ensure the site is fully prepared for campers and provides a safe, well-supported environment.
Camp Coordination & Oversight
The camps are in capable hands. For 2026, we are using the established ACCA camp framework, with enhancements to ensure participants have a memorable and engaging experience.
  • Darla Borbely brings a career in co-operatives combined with an agricultural background and long-standing involvement in the program. She provides leadership and overall management, ensuring the camps meet their objectives.
  • Liane Courchesne-Dingman, serving as Camp Coordinator, has successfully led the camps for over 20 years and is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all day-to-day activities, creating a positive and well-organized experience for all participants.
Together, their expertise, dedication, and commitment ensure strong leadership and continuity for the program.
Sponsorship & Costs
For 2026, camps will run 5 days and 4 nights.
  • Sponsor contribution: $825
  • Family contribution: $275
  • Total cost per participant: $1,100
Bus transportation and GST are included, ensuring all participants arrive and depart together, simplifying logistics.
Returning sponsors may notice that costs have increased since the last camp. These changes reflect rising costs for food, transportation, supplies, and program delivery, while maintaining the high-quality experience Goldeye Camps are known for.
Registration & What’s New
Sponsors will register online, with payment available via EFT or cheque. If you do not yet know the youth you wish to sponsor, we are happy to assign participants and will confirm sponsorship details with you.
Volunteer Facilitators
In the coming days, we will issue a call for Volunteer Facilitators. We encourage you to share this opportunity within your organization or with individuals interested in supporting youth leadership development.
Planning Ahead & Follow Along
While registration does not open until March 1, 2026, we wanted to provide an early heads-up so you can plan ahead. Follow updates and announcements on our social media channels:
